Solid performance - Decent Matrix recording
A special night for New Monsoon and their fans as they and Hot Buttered Rum pack the Fillmore and solidly rock the place. Excellent covers of Jessica (Allmann Bros.), Eminence Front (The Who) and an epic Kashmir (Led Zeppelin) complete with Hot Buttered Rum "black tie" string section, gong and impressive vocals from Erik Yates of HBRSB. Overall a huge, powerful show in a classic hall, with a very happy crowd.
This recording, which I mixed, is an unusual matrix. The original stereo soundboard was very unbalanced, and ultimately overrun by the strings starting at "Rock Springs Road", I had access to the Alesis 24 multi-track WAVs, but several key channels, including the kick and the strings were missing. Starting with the multi-track as the foundation, I used David Taylor's audience tape to fill in some of the holes, and added in the strings from the stereo board. It sounds a bit too ambiant and mushy, but still delivers fairly good presence and detail, and gives some hint of the power in the room that night. I hope folks enjoy it. It was a great show!

Upgrade. Best source to grab
This version is an upgrade to the previous versions that are available. If you liked the two aud sources you will love this matrix by George Rosenfeld. Thanks George!
